Drag Week is practically going to be in my backyard this year. Don't think I'll have something ready to compete, but I might see about taking the time off and spectating.
- Day 1 Racing—Monday, Sept. 16 - National Trail Raceway (Hebron, Ohio)
- Day 2 Racing—Tuesday, Sept. 17 - Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park (Indianapolis, Indiana)
- Day 3 Racing—Wednesday, Sept. 18 - US 131 Motorsports Park (Martin, Michigan)
- Day 4 Racing—Thursday, Sept. 19 - Milan Dragway (Milan, Michigan)
- Day 5 Racing (Finals)—Friday, Sept. 20 - National Trail Raceway (Hebron, Ohio)
Oh man, National Trail is getting a lot of love from Hot Rod this year. It's one of the stops for the Power Tour in June as well.
It's an absolute stretch goal for me, but I'd love to do Drag Week, and this is about as perfect a loop as I could get. Anybody have an 11 second C10 laying around?

I have what is probably a high 13/low 14 S10, and am kind of tempted to try to get into the Street Machine Eliminator class, even if there's no way I'd make the finals. Not willing to put a roll bar in it, so 11.5 is as fast as I could make it. Although, another issue is the Silver State Classic is about the same time, and after doing that for the first time last year, I really want to go back and run in a different class there.
i feel a sore throat coming on, probably gonna have to burn a sick day on Thursday 9/19 cough cough
Unless National Trail has spent some $, it still sucks IMO. Indy isn't much better. Martin is 45 min from home so I can sleep in my own bed one night. Milan I've never raced at and now a buddy of mine is running their promotions dept. All in all Columbus is 7hrs from home. Much better than the 13 or 14hrs from here in Michigan to Darlington SC...
Chitty that Rocky Mountain Raceweek 2.0 is running around Texas and Louisiana the SAME week....

I have the same lack of willingness to commit to a roll bar. An 11.99 pass would be all I would be after. That doesn't even move the needle in an event like this, but its plenty fast for me.

That's why I'm running newer models... 9.0 limit.

At least they are not like Midwest Drags - they had a fairly low maximum ET you were supposed to be able to run in order to even enter.

Even if you can run that number, if the promoter doesn't like your ride, you ain't getting in. And you won't be told if your out either. I hope it goes away soon.
131 is not too far from the cabin. They ran there a few years ago too and we were on 131 on the way north with some of the stragglers
I'll be sure to be at Milan as it's close by. Should be fun.

Curious if something like an LS2 C6 would be able to be considered 'modern'.
Might be high time to look into a midlife crisis.

I did not know about the 2014-up part of that rule. Sounds like it was made for Dodge Demons and Tesla Plaids.
Similiar to the 2021 and 22 routes tbh
In reply to Ranger50 :
Thank you for the info! Perhaps an LS3 Corvette would be the way to go, since its under the 2008+ umbrella.
In reply to Puddy46 :
Just remember ALL OEM safety equipment has to be in place and functioning.

It's hard to have tracks staffed during the week and why it's kind of all the same places.
