""If some (traditional race car driver) spins out, he can't save it. If you put one of these drifters into something like that, they're going to save it instantly."
Uhhh...Say what now? At 200mph!
I think Keanu Reeves can play him in the movie about his dorifto life...
btw, the day GRM starts "project drift car" is the day I cancel my subscription....
....unless of course the car in question is a 63 impala with suicide doors.

bmw driver picking on a fwd car. that never happens.
Fun video, but Gardella sounds like an idiot in the written copy. I love it when journalists cover something they obviously know very little about and choose to quote the one guy who constantly talks out of his southern pole.
As far as I'm concerned, GRM could build all the drift cars they want. I may prefer to go fast than go sideways, but it all looks like fun to me.

Thing I hate most about drifting, is people who like drifting, usually think that it's harder than anything else known to man. I will grant it is a difficult thing to do, but having the ability to drift does not necessarily mean they can drive a car properly fast (I've met a lot of people who think other wise though).
I think a drift project car would be cool. Maybe educate some of the kids. I've met drifter who are really smart, and can talk about how camber changes how the car handles. Most drift kids I've met though just know that camber makes the tires look funny.

You're too late. They sort of did an AE86 5+/- years ago.

These guys probably wouldn't know what to do, either.
