I will have you know our office is in Holly Hill, almost never but certainly sometimes called Holy Hell. The street/sidewalk watching outside the front windows is prime--until we moved there, I had no idea so many people smoked and wore flip-flops while bicycling. Signature move there is to walk shirtless while HOLDING A SHIRT. I'm always like, "Dude, you are so close to being less gross."

Yep. We live in a tourist town in Flori-duh, so there are certain tropes that endure. Overall, it's been a fine place to do business and raise a family--which is why what looks like a boarded-up building to the left of ours in the photo is actually a new acquisition we are rehabbing as a rental office. Windows are still on order, but stucco just got completed!

My total Daytona experience was just the area around the track at a NASA event last fall.  One of the few places I've been where I wish I was carrying when I was filling up fuel jugs at a nearby gas station after the first day.  I did feel much more secure in the Walmart, there were police everywhere :-)

Planning a trip to Daytona, what are the must-see things in town (apart from GRM world HQ)?

If you happen to be into Motorsports, there is a little racing venue that you might find interesting. 
 

Actually, there is no Daytona. There is South Daytona, Daytona Beach Shores, and Daytona Beach. No place here named just Daytona.

Didn't one of Penske's race cars get stolen down there once? Just sayin'... :) .

I would have popped my head in to say hi and grab a sticker or something but it looked a little empty.

I think I understand why you find an airport an important amenity in choosing where to live.

Back in 1980-1983 Daytona Beach was the place to go for College Spring break.  

My cheap buddies and I would drive down in the 310GX from Chicago.  We would tent camp in New Smyrna Beach and drive to Daytona Beach and hang out trying to sneak onto hotel pools. Nothing like a 6am sunrise on your tent when you're hung over.

Lots of good stories I'll never tell my wife, grown son, and daughter heading to college in 11 days.
