Your tech tip is genius.

Can you post a picture of the side that came off so that we have a better idea of what's going on under there?

Got a wedding today, and I'm hauling the newlyweds in my dad's Cadillac. Project is on hold for now.

Tapered shaft is all holding the drum on. We got a bigger puller and a bigger air hammer, but one drum is still stuck. I'll post pics later.

On my 58 imperial rear (in my 62 Dart) one side would not budge. I put the puller on it used the 3lbs sledge on the wing on the lead screw let it sit over night nothing not a budge. So we heated it up around the hub nothing. next day we re-heated around the bolt circle (just in side the stud circle) then use a can of "Computer Duster" held upside down on the axle part. BANG of it jumped. Computer duster cans are liquid N2 when held up side down they spray Liquid out. Have the whole thing hot then shrinking the axle gave it a reason to move.

Little puller...

Plus bigger air hammer... equals broken puller.

So we got a bigger puller.

Success! At least on one side. The other side is still stuck. Lots oh heat and Loctite freeze spray on the axle and still no luck. This side has had pullers on it for days, with no luck. Now to try and find a drum.

Use air hammer to tighten bigger puller?
