Luckily, I read this. That was the next place I was headed!

NYG95's right. Real people do dumb things when that kind of thing happens..

EDIT: Oh, I'm drunk again...that wasn't eBay..it was Craigslist. Stay away from that, too.
Jeepspeed used to run the baja 500. I think that ended. www.jeepspeed.net
I'll bet you could find a class to put an xj into
i'm pretty set on this whole Baja 500 race. I would hate to think they cut out the last "grassroots" class in the score baja races.(class 11 doesn't count because they never finish) Any ideas??
ps my friend is buying a restored 72 bronco this weekend with road tires....
The car I posted above won the first Baja. You can do it.
You also might want to talk to Mickey Thompson about some trail support. I think they offer at least some to most teams who ask.
I kept up with JeepSpeed a bit, but information is kind of hard to come by with them. It was much more active in the West. They tried to kickstart an Eastern series that would be based more around mountain trials as opposed to desert runs, but I think that petered out.
Motorcycles have come in first place overall between all classes for a while now, but it would be good to see a truck or buggy take it back.
