friend came over with a CEL on her 2009 Focus. when she got here the CEL was no longer on, but I pulled two current DTCs and I can't find any info on them

  • P0600
  • P060A

anybody got detailed info on these DTCs?

P0600- PCM failure- No communication between co-processors in the controlmodule.

P060A is basically the same thing.

how likely are these to be related to low battery voltage? her OE battery has been slow-cranking on cold days, and twice in the last 3 weeks she's had to get jump-started because on really cold mornings the batt hasn't been able to crank it over fast enough to fire it up.

Possible- a spike in voltage could cause problems. Moreso, if the batteries are hooked up backwards, then lots of things can happen.

the MIL light is bad, but the wrench light is worse. That usually is an expensive electronic fix.

I would suspect the jump starts are more a cause than a weak battery.
