as i'm considerably more active on VWVortex than i am here... since there's less than 4 months to go, i figured i should get around to starting my build for this year's challenge.
the inspiration? the $300 donor car... is a hell of a donor car.

I was in the same boat. I bought a Mk3 GTi VR shell for $300. I also had a 1.8t AWW ready to swap in. I was sitting pretty at around $1000 in the car, just needed the motor/trans mounts.
It is possible with the budget. Don't listen for Vortexers. All they care about is "moar low bro, stretch it bra!"
That's the Abella's old car correct? If so I remember seeing that thing run back in the day at Giant's stadium, it was a very well prepped car should be a real nice platform for a challenge car, Good Luck!
