Fully loaded from the manufactory! Excellent!
I paid $7,200 for a completely stock 97 in excellent condition a few years ago. The deals are out there if you aren't in a rush and stay off the forums.
Don't mean to hijack the discussion, but is there some sort of consensus on where to find the best deals on these cars? Obviously you're likely to get the cheapest deals on something like CL, but I also feel like if the seller doesn't understand the value of the car then he/she probably also haven't been taking care of it. On a Honda beater I'm inclined to use CL, but is the "premium" one pays for cars on forums or CCA member cars worth it on th backend?

Search all over the place, as far as maintence, Rule # 1: if the seller doesn't have receipts, treat it as the work hasn't been done at all and factor that into offering less. There really is no difference between bmwcca, bf.c, or craigslist/egay/autotrader cars either. Just always remember Rule #1.

I think your core assumption is incorrect - I found my car on craigslist and it was an owner that had taken very good care of it but looked up the value on KBB. The car was maintained to the point where he basically said "OK" any time a shop told him it needed something.
On the other hand, forums seem to be full of 17 year olds that put crap coilovers on cars with leaks and old coolant systems. Said kids then expect too much for their stanced crapboxes that have been dragged over every speed bump in their city.
Ha ha ha, I saw this the other day when I was searching for these near me. The guy is definitely smoking something with this. Shooting for the moon with a BB Gun.
Just going to leave this here, $99k for an E36 M3...

Fair enough. I haven't been browsing all that much but have been interested in looking into the E36 M3 in the next year or so. Thanks!

Well, at least that one is a LTW, not that it really justifies the asking price...

That is beyond hilarious. $99k for an e36 M3 LTW?? That is crack smoking territory.

Even with only 99 miles on the clock, I still think they're at more than double what someone could realistically pay. Doesn't hurt to ask, though...

:P Both my coupe and Sedan never sagged. The coupe became a race car soooo that's gone. The sedan has 161,000 miles and no sag
Now the convertible...sags...badly
Not bad. Every now and then I look at what all new/OEM parts would cost to completely re-do the glovebox and the shifter surround/center console. Always ends up being too much for an occasional/track car, but I'm still tempted.
Any of you guys know if there's an easy way to fix the recline function in the vader seats?
