rusty02, are you talking about the wells on an 02 or an E21? I checked your profile, but I see you don't have your ride up on it yet (don't sweat it, lots of people don't ever do it).

Not to hijack this thread, but I've been digging into my 72 2002 project, Dr SooS, soon to be chronicled on the FM site in a build diary. Anybody have a source for patch panels/rust repair panels? I've been digging all over Google and striking out. I just cut out my rusty spare tire well, replacing that with a flat sheet of 16 gauge (so far, the only cars I get flats in are the ones with spares, so I look at eliminating the spare as flat protection ;-). In that process, discovered some bondo in the bottom of the left quarter. This is difficult to weld to... Sources? Thanks!

Thanks, Ransom! Walloth und Nesch are dramatically less expensive than the other two, at least before shipping big awkward pieces across the ocean.

I think I need some "alone time".....

OK, I'm back. Bank account is still empty so I can't go buy it myself. Its maybe a tad pricey but not by much considering its rare, has lots of hard to find parts on it, and looks like it was basically restored. I can't believe that car was in Knoxville and I never knew about it (Thats where I had my 320i).

If only the sellers helper would reply to me I would be one step closer to having it in my garage. Tr8Todd turned me onto it,and thinks it is worth the asking price. I will trust him on it as I know nothing about the prices on these cars as they seem to be all over the place.

By a tad overpriced I meant by by like $100. Not a lot considering there will be haggling anyway. Considering what I sold my car for and what it would take to make it look that good AND have a 6 cyl. it may actually be underpriced.

Refering to a 2002. Mine were bad, and in a tough spot to get to.
