My SCCA racer back in the day was a '74 Corolla with a 2TC. What a great car it was!! Twice I won the SW Div. ITC championship. About 55 races over 5 or 6 seasons and not one DNF. The car was bullet proof. The only car I've had over the years that I wish I could have back...

I was considering one of these with a 5-speed and a restored body for a drift car, but the engine was trashed, the brakes were questionable and the local (legal) drift scene was sputtering so I decided not to. It was a very rare chance to buy a RWD car here but I just couldn't justify it.
I want to build an older 2-door Corolla or Corona with a 3.5L Lexus/Toyota V6. When the time comes I'll head out to Long Beach for the Japanese Auto Show and write a check to find a clean one.
