Kenny Rogers was right... Know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away...

That last part is the toughest.  Smart move!

On a positive note, how is the Ford Flex for cross country barnstorming?   I almost bought a Lincoln MKT a couple years back.  It was the "illogical choice" compared with the sensible choice Grand Caravan that I actually bought.  But, I always knew that Lincoln (fancy Flex) would be awesome for interstate travel.

Fancy ford flex is amazing. The thing will pull a lightweight trailer and car with ease. It has 4 pin and round hookups at the back already installed. The heated and cooled seats are great. Turned on teh steering wheel heater as it was ~25f in the mountains when I trudged back to the car. I had the tune on the flex originally as I still had Arizona plates and the things scoots, without the tune its more then fast enough even with 6 people in the car and some snow gear. All wheel drive did well in the snow on all season tires as well.

Couple things I don't like are the squeaks and rattles from the rear power seats. The wind noise is very high due to the style of the windshield and its a little rough around the edges compared to say a SQ8 but at the cost its an amazing deal. I will say you got to stay on top of the oil changes in the ecoboost if you want it to live a long life.

Honestly, I think that's a cool purchase.  I may be getting a substantial bonus later this year and wonder what I should do with it....  but something new to me, save it, get a lift and do all the cool mods I want to the stuff I already have....

At least it wasn't a sight unseen purchase and it showed up from across the country like that...

Looked at this last night around 7.5K. Has a open primary, 80ci motor with proper paperwork, good five speed transmission. Counting up the parts I would say 18K into the build all in. Needs some work but would be more ridable then the flatheads. Lots of fun to modify as well and parts are more available. Dry clutch is a issue but not terrible and it needs drag bars something fierce. Evo FXR motor and jugs i think based on the paint.

Stuck at work today and needed something to keep my mind off everything.  This would be a fun project as well, has about 5K miles already so properly roken in.

They last longer than you'll want to ride.  At least that bike isn't super stretched so it should handle ok.  Maybe.  I'm just not a chopper guy.

It's a old softail frame that's had a standard length springer so it's not terrible. The tank and the handlebars are not my cup of tea I agree. Need to sleep on it for sure. Nothing that's a real project right now in the garage so going a bit stir crazy which is not helping due to Covid.

Is that a dirt bike front tire? When I zoom in, the tire looks quite knobby.

Well - if we're doing all this Kenny Rogers stuff..........I'm convinced he's stoned by the E36 M3 eating grin the first 25 seconds.   Sorry about the thread jack.

Early EVO motors are reliable.  Looks to be around mid 90's, not sure.  Knobby tire?  No gauges?  Price better be right, this is a niche scoot.

https://www.getlowered.com/custom-chrome-lucky-sucker-gas-tank-for-harley-softail/  For your consideration.

Good luck, and happy hunting
