Way cool, that 900lbs sounds very light even without an alternator

I'd want to do a WRX swap in it, but there's no room in my life for a full-on race car at the moment.

It could be 900 lbs, they weren't that heavy to start with. The last time I saw this car listed, it was supposed to be in Birmingham AL. I find it hard to believe there are two of them.

4banger....here you go Re listing due to a deadbeat scammer! I have a very nice autocross race car with two spare motors of of which is BRAND NEW, 2 spare trannies, spare wheels and a lot of extras. this will make someone here the proud owner of a piece of history. There are probably very few - if any more of these still running around. the car won trophies at two autoshows and always gets alot of looks over the newer Subies. Parts that are installed on the car: 1.) Custom Front Coilovers 2.) Removable Steering Wheel (Quick Release Hub) (NRG Custom) 3.) Corbeau Racing Bucket 4.) Custom Headers 5.) Custom single pipe exhaust exits right in the center by rear bumper 6.) Oil Sump 7.) Battery relocated in rear 8.) Master Engine Cut off Switch 9.) TSW Gauges 10.) Dual down draft Webers (custom built manifolds) 11.) Hoosier AutoX Racing Slicks mounted on the car 12.) Extra set of Hoosier Racing Slicks mounted on spare wheels 13.) Hella FF4000's mounted on front bumper 14.) Real Tow Hook 15.) Italian Personal Leather Steering Wheel 16.) Racing Harness 17.) Custom Front Strut Brace 18.) SS Braided Fuel, Oil and Water Lines 19.) Custom welded camber plates There are probably a lot of stuff I missed. Extras to go with the car: 1.) Brand New in the Crate OEM EA63 LB with single port heads. 2.) Spare EA63 LB plus manifold, distributor, flywheel (dual port heads) (I have been told these heads are more agressive from the factory) 3.) 2 Trannies (1 tore apart, 1 assembled) 4.) Lots of brand new gaskets 5.) Brand New valves 6.) Brand new brake pads 7.) Strut assemblies 8.) SOA Shop Manual 9.) 2 other Haynes Manuals 1 New, 1 with notes 10.) As mentioned above extra set of wheels and tires Lots of pics here Here are a lot of pictures http://s66.photobucket.com/albums/h246/dibblejr/73%20Subaru%20DL/ Video of the car in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJY1LXLIaqk The car weighs 900 lbs, it has removable door panels, lexan front, rear and small side windows. The doors do not have windows. The car is completely gutted and does not look bad, it has been coated and painted black on the inside. also this car will only come with a bill of sale due to its age Currently the car is stuck in reverse. There was no indications of transmission failure. it could be linkage bound. i am not sure though. regardless there are a total of 2 spare trasmission so it shouldnt be much of a issue! Buyer is responsible for shipping. i can help load the car but thats it. shipping costs can vary depending on your location and what you prefer to use. I have been getting alot of question so i should clarify this is a track car. if it can be street legal will depend on your local laws. Keep in mind this is purpose built car. no abs no power steering. no climate control. it doesnt even have a alternator. it runs off a deep cycle battery that i typically have to charge once a season ( 5 events with several runs per event) this is the perfect car for someone who wants to break into racing (car passes SCCA solo standards) ALso until 1976 all DL's were FWD. this car is so lite and corner balanced though its nimble! the lsd's i have in both transmissions work excellent Lowered buy it now price. need my garage space. hate to see it go.

If that car weighs 900 lbs., I'll drive out there and run myself over with it; besides, it would be grossly underweight (i.e. illegal) for the class. It's cute, but it's no Civic.

I used to own one of those cars. I'm not sure how heavy it was when it was new, but mine eventually rusted down to about 900 pounds.

Based upon my experience, I am amazed that this car is still able to support its own body panels.

Okay, I am already doing the Vulcan mind meld on four orphans (rotary Spitfire, rotary Jensen, XS650/RD400 combo and one unnamed project. ). No more, dammit.
