I’m trying a couple different configurations here. It needs to mount in the passenger side, footwell/glovebox area. This is a weekend car with passenger seat, so it needs to remain tucked out of wife’s leg area. I’ve looked up some pics on google images. Is there any slick ideas you’ve come up with? I need the front interior to remain intact. Car in question is the ‘85 celica.

Pull the glove box and see what you can see?  In cars I have done that are not for the track I like to put it there.

Wasn't that injected originally?  Where was the factory ECU?

Any way to put the ecu into the factory case?  That's what I did in my FC.. it took some motherboard mounting standoffs (from a computer) and some hot glue to stress-relieve the wiring to the flyback board, but it worked swell.

Can it mount in the foot well? Then make up a sheet metal cover, Should only eat up 2-3 inches of real estate, likely not a big deal on the passenger side and carpet will probably cover with no clue anything is under there.

It was. The 22re Ecu is tiny compared to the Lexus 1uzfe Ecu. Literally twice the size. The glove box will be my last effort. I’ll still have to cut away a large amount of the plastic in the glove box area to get it to fit. I’ll  take measurements when I’m home and snap a pic for you guys to visualize.

Maybe put it in one of the new harbor freight imitation pelican cases in the engine compartment?

Find a Honda floor bracket from the late 80's.  The ECU became the toe board in the passengers footwell, under a flat mounting bracket..
