So, the auto-translate of the auto-captions isn't that great. But, there's enough there to follow the scent of what's being said.
Yes, this is effectively a commercial. And, yes, I reckon some of the "Tofu Delivery Purists" might get wrapped around a lamppost a bit (and Keith probably won't be a fan of them slapping an electric motor on the front of a manual trans). Still, I thought was an interesting little video, and maybe worth some of y'alls' time.
I an only get behind this project if they are stamping out new AE86 shells and interior panels and everything else.
You'd think there would be a market for that. They make/made new Mustangs, Camaros, Escorts (mk1 and mk2), the AE86 should be on the list.

There's definitely comments in this video about the value of keeping "existing" cars going, and the importance Toyota sees in producing concepts that can "convert" existing fleets to BEV/H2 from their Tokyo Auto Salon presentation:

I love the idea. This is literally going to be the way these cars stay relevant in the next 10-15 years.

Can't wait for their hover car conversions.
Sleepywife frequently complains about my pessimism. She'll probably enjoy the fact that I'm receiving an 66:33 ratio of pessimism to optimism on one of my limited quota of optimistic posts for the year.
