There is another thread floating around here on this as well. If they hit all their targets and get it to market I could see one in my future as a commuter appliance.
In reply to N Sperlo:
Three wheels classifies the vehicle as a motorcycle and it doesn't need all the safety and emission equipment found in an automobile.
Funny you should bring this up. I was just thinking about the Carver One, yesterday. Trying to figure out what happened to it, I did some googling. Looks like they could never get the price low enough to keep production going, and folded. I fear that if this thing gets going the big 3 will try to snuff it out with lobbying for regulation changes, like in the old South Park Episode

Me too. Hopefully they can make it happen.
I seem to recall some of the people involved with Elio Motors have been accused of financial shenanigans in the past. I'm really hoping this is legit, and they make it into production. If my current commute holds steady, I'd kind of like to have one.
Yes, there was a pretty long thread floating around a while back on this car. I'm very much interested and am following along to see what happens. But I'm not holding my breath...if they make it into production, I'll wait a few months and see how it's shaking out, then go from there.
Its gonna be at the woodward dreamcruise. Im going to check it out in person. I started a tread about it a while ago. If its released and comes close to those targets, my savings account will be about $7K lighter.
