Is there a chart somewhere that tells what the engine names/codes are? For example 2jz= Toyota Supra I6, M30 = BMW 3.0 I6, LS1= Chevy 5.7, B13= Mazda Rotary, etc etc

Such charts for specific manufacturers would exist on enthusiast sites for those models, but I don't know about one giant huge master chart. Fortunately, if I do a Google search on D16A6, for example, I get about eleventy billion hits about the Honda motor that came in the 88-91 Civic/CRX Si, EX sedan, and RT4WD wagon, among others. The search engine of your choice is your friend.
I swear I have to look up the wiki page about BMW engines every time someone mentions a Mxx, blah, blah, blah on here. I can't remember those stupid codes for the life of me.
We can try to make it a GRM article?
