This is an old one (the car was done several years ago) but it's pretty cool - a Morris Minor with a tube frame and Fiat engine. http://www.beardmorebros.co.uk/website%20pages/new_project.htm
http://www.motorgeek.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=20733 Epic-in-making. Tube framed, Audi V8 engined, 944 drivetrained... Rabbit. Homebuilt uprights and everything.
http://www.motorgeek.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=10039 Friend's car. SWB Audi Fox, mit AWD und 20v 5cyl. Should be running by end of season.
http://www.motorgeek.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=29308 Most people bolt a V8 in an Audi 4000 and call it good. This project is... different. Like "Let's move the floorpan and firewall" different.
Hope to start my own in about a month
Why, WHY, would you make this so easy...my productivity is going to plummet if I don't even have to search anymore...

I look forward to build updates in my email every morning. Not sure what I'm going to do once it's finished (although I'm already following his E46 DSP build, too)...

I've always wanted to do that with a Civic hatch. Even kept a parts car around for a few years anticipating it, but never got around to it.
I figured it was the only way to improve on it.

The Datsun MX520 was a good build. Apparently now he is taking a 510 wagon adding/splicing miata suspension and powering it with a F20C
