One local to me is black Esparante. Same guy owns a diesel smart imported (illegally) and registered (illegally) in Vermont.

When I lived in Virgina, a guy down the block owned an AIV. Ugly, yes, but it looked like a fun car. His was autographed by someone famous. I think it may have been Steven Tyler who was apparently a former owner or something. I may have the wrong celebrity as it was almost 10 years ago that I saw the car and talked to the owner.

True story: Way back in the day, JG and I visited the Panoz factory. They had rows of 4.6 mod motors and stacks of Ford rear ends. Out back, we encountered the largest moth ever.

I vividly remember the sound of the Panoz LMP1 cars from the first ALMS race I ever went to. Sounded like the world was coming to and end, but in a good way.

I've seen AIV's and Esparante's before, but the Abruzzi is new to me. When were they built?

Don Panoz is into the crazy looking E36 M3. I was a fan of the cars back in the day. Cobra powered IIRC. He was big on the Delta Wing project.
