Well I just pulled my 02,03,04 challenge car out of the weeds and she is seeing daily status again hasn't been driven since 08. It fired up with a new battery and drove on to the tow dolly time for clean up and repair. My daughter last drove it in high school and got 35mpg which is better than the 25 I get now.
It's a 86 SAAB 900 hatch.
gutty, our crx, sits in a garage...
it will hopefully run 10s in 2 weeks at a test/tune, or blow up.
then we're putting an integra type R motor in it and tracking it.

The YUGO is starting to show its age. I'm going to retire it to track only. The days of lighting up the tires are over. Tires are no longer cheep. That is if you can find a 13" tire. The Yugo is getting new wheels, 17s if I can make them fit.
The #76 Civic was this close |___| to being scrapped because no one would buy it and we couldn't afford to keep it around, but we finally found a buyer (locally!) who is going to cage it and turn it into a track whore. Couldn't imagine a better life for such a great car.

Multi run silver Omni - now an autox build. Awesome car now.
-'07/'08 Puzzle Charger - disassembled and sitting
-'08-'09 - Shadow - disassembled, but coming back soon
'10 Aries - blasted through a local autox last week. It's a toy now.
The Abomination became (as I intended all along) an all purpose AX and hillclimb beast. It's now in the tender care of Toyman, who is continuing its development.
The LuK Motorsports Chevonda is my Lemons car, well, for 2009 Lamest day, and it should be back on track this year.
My 08, 09, 10 Challenge Miata has gone to a new home. Current owner has made some upgrades and is working on all the small issues. Hopefully it will be back on the road soon.

Old Mrs. Smith, my 2010 challenge SAAB 9000 is currently being prepared for BABE rally duty. I couldn't be happier that she found a good home and will continue to be used enthusiastically.
2009 aborted 302 mgb gt still in the garage. Might make it this go round. The e28 found a new home. Kinda miss that one as a DD.

Currently being prepped for BABE right now means that I was fighting like hell with a pin to replace the shift linkage and swearing at the car. And then work sent me to TN for 2.5 weeks, but the rest of my team is going to work on it this weekend while I'm gone. Yay team!
As for my past challenge cars, after the $2002 challenge, we stripped down the CRX, then sold it to the Hongs who brought it back and it later took 2nd and then the overall. Hell yea.
The Wartburg is currently sitting in Jim's garage exactly where we put it after the $2010 event, waiting for the start of Wartburg 2.0.

A-hole car: Is right down the road from me, sitting. It's for sale for $2k.
The general rots away in Tampa.
The Boss Hong is now a microwave or computer parts or some chinese crap.
The miata was sold for profit.
S00p3rturd sits motorless.

I totally owned that car for a year or so. Only got to autocross it once though.
I sold my wife's 86 MR2 with a seized cam to someone on here a couple years ago. I think it made it to the 07 or 08 challenge.
my 02 Civic, I sold to my baby brother who later sold it and it wound up in a junk yard
my 03, 04, 05 240Z is in pieces and way way way over budget
my 06 MR2 I sold on ebay a week or 2 after the challenge
my 07, 08 09 300 ZX I still have but is presently for sale Evildky Z31
my 10, 11 MR2 I plan to return to the 12 challenge
Our '05, '06, '08 Mustang is collecting dust in my dad's shop. It needs to go away but pops doesn't want to sell it.
My green Karmann Ghia was sold about a year after the Challenge to a local guy who autocrossed it for a year and then lost interest and sold it. It turns up on "thesamba" about once a year for sale. I almost bought it back last time it was posted. Its now white with a blue top. Poor baby looks like she misses me... :-( Aarons Rat Ghia was sold, went to Indiana, and was bought back a year later. It is sitting in his mother's garage waiting for a full restoration.

As in 2006 mr2 at challenge price? I never ever expect those car to sell for less than $4k. All body panels are replaceable, mide engined, on the verge of 2000 pounds..
In reply to mr2peak:
I believe he is referring to his MR2 he entered in the $2006 year 2006 challenge.

My 2003 entry ('86 GLI) was sold to a college student who put over 50k miles on it before she was T-boned. Makes me cry just thinking about it........ :(

I wouldn't expect one to sell for $4k, either. Because they don't exist.
My $2004 V8 Rx7 is sitting in the back corner of my shop. It has been immobilized by a bad wire to the fuel pump. I know which wire and I can drive it with a jumper wire, but in 3 years I haven't been able to find the 10 minutes it would take to fix it!
My $2009 '99 Miata is my summer daily driver.
And the $2009 Porvette sits in the shop exactly as it returned from the Challenge. Which is to say that it is still suffering from electrical gremlins.
