Highlighted the relevant part of that sentence. IMO, the Jag was built to combat the Germans. Give them something that looks pretty, but keeps them too busy fixing. Unfortuantely, only us stupid Americans bought them.
There is one just like that but black I see occasionally. I like them, but I couldn't afford gas for one to drive it much.
Heck, I know where I can get one for $900. Catch is the brake master is bad and costs more than the car itself. A V12 car too. I just might get it. Been sitting for years in a little shack of a garage.
There's a reason so few cabrios were sold: they are not attractive with the top down.
It's no worse than any other V12 Jag of the era, but were it me I'd hold out for a true 'vert version.
Now THAT is a good lookin' sumbich.
