so the transmission went out a couple weeks ago so today i pulled the engine and transmission to replace the trans.... I discovered oil coming from my Compressor Housing :-/ anyways should I get a new GT2871R (which it has now with IHI Exhaust housing and some sorta different compressor wheel/housing combo, or get a new VJ-11? Both are about the same price. Car is used as a fun/autoX/driver nice weather only (no snow)....

Second issue is I think I'm gonna put a new clutch in the Probe too.... The clutch moves, but not far enough to release fully... This is my problem with these cars, i guess the torque is rough on the drivetrains...lol o well, fix it and make it better, right?

Input, Ideas, words of wisdom???

Under no circumstances would i ever put a stock turbo on one of these if i had the option of something else.

Just rebuild the turbo. Should be $150 or less, look for a diesel shop.

Words of wisdom: Re-use the mazda axle retaining clips.

Ehhh, i'm not big on the hybrids, don't know which ones are which.

Nothing else will 100% bolt on, unless you find a TKT/JGS Tools hybrid.

There's a bolt-on hybrid made with a Volvo 16T wheel for sale on MX6.com right now.

I think a VF12 was also an upgrade? Don't remember what needed to be done to run that, though.

Honestly, i think it sounds like it's time to get ahold of a T3-flanged manifold.

I agree. Plus then- you can strap ALL the turbo to it, which is the right thing to do with an f2t.
