Email it to the email on the contest page, and I don't think they are showing everyone's submissions just the weekly winner.

Here's my second entry. It uses a Subaru windshield and has a front radiator. Also added a Track-day and full Racing models. Any feedback, ideas? Hopefully one more coming soon.
Street Machine
Track-day Weapon

the "street" design would get my vote for entry of the week (so far... it is only Monday ;) ) I like the lines a lot. The design of the roll "hoop" and windshield would lend itself to basic soft top that could be added by the builder for emergency use. Very nice.
Ok, so since I didn't win this week, I guess it's time to post my submissions and get some feedback on what's wrong with them :) Here are my designs
Common front end to both, just one is a targa style and one is a removable hardtop style. Here are the side shots:
And the view from above:
I tried to be realistic and draw something that was build-able, but I guess by doing so, I created a somewhat boring shape. Any thoughts?
I like it. The side and top views are cool. The front end loses me though. The grill opening seems disproportionately big.
Another thought is to try to do color mock ups like Speedboy above. It's hard for a black and white line drawing to compete. That's just my opinion.
Overall, I like it a lot! Much cleaner and more classic that several others so far.

But you live in Georgia. I live in Pennsylvania where it's much colder more often. I need a top and windows so I can use a fun car more often. Otherwise it'll just live in my garage most of the year which is a waste of money for me.
Not top or windows is a no sale for me too.
hey guys i did a little more rendering on this idea. will post another one tomorrow. all i have is side views for now
OK, since I can't draw I've always liked the idea of integrating 1st gen Subaru B9 Tribeca headlights into a snub nosed roadster, thinking bmw z8 that ran into the screen door. B9 taillights might work too.
Here is one of my latest concept car designs that I think would fit to this competition pretty nicely. What do you think ?
I will show some of my other designs soon as well, I want to hear your opinions.

The front fenders are a little too RX8 for me. That's also my least favorite part of the RX8. Well, that and the damn spinning triangles.
That said, the proportions are nice. I really like the rear flanks.
I was at Amelia Island this weekend, where many of the nation's best designers also were. More to come.
In reply to GTstudio: It's a lovely bit of design. It's got some Camaro and Mercedes design elements in there, but they're good ones. It comes off as more a front-engined GT than mid-engined sports racer, however. It's got more bulk than necessary, and of course there's that expensive roof and windows....

I wouldn't call it boring, Trevor. I like the little bit of S2000 I see in the hips for sure.
I'm not a judge, but I think using the factory Subaru lights helped Xabier's entry a lot.
I'm pretty shocked how the quality of entries keeps getting better. I get to see them all, and there have been good ones since day 1, but every week has new, jaw-dropping approaches. Good stuff all over the place.
A lot of entries only show a profile—that's a shame, because there's only so much you can do with that perspective.
These are some designs I have been working on for the competition. They are not all roadsters but they can be with a couple of lines with my pencil :p I think I like the top left one the most... what are your opinions?
Thanks for the positive comments guys. Definitely been inspired by this thread and some of the designs on here.
Excellent designs all around GT Studio, but not a single one of them meets the requirements of the competition.
I made those designs before I found out that a roof is not needed. Therefore I aimed for a different design with these cars, which unfortunately is not acceptable anymore... That doesnt mean that I wont be entering, will have something cooking soon.
to anyone who was wondering about my folding hardtop idea, since they annexed anything more in-depth than a tarp and thus have guaranteed that my design won't win, assuming I ever submit one, take a look at the Renault Wind and the folding hardtop it has. seems pretty stupid simple to me, satisfies the drop-top crowd, adds a bit of peace of mind that all the stuff you leave in the car won't be taken by someone with a knife and an eye for shiny things, lets you drive in the rain without getting a shower the second you leave your garage, and should be relatively easy to implement, even on a mid-engined car (although having a flat 4 powering it does simplify things a bit).
Oh, and why do I get the feeling that an Elise-style hardtop and either POP OFF or VINYL (not roll-down, roll up) windows would be easier to manage than making a full soft top for the same application? if all you need to do is put something between the top of the windshield frame and some sort of roll bar, wouldn't it be simpler to lay up a fiberglass panel and put some weather stripping on it, steal the top latches from a Miata, than to work out a way to fasten a tarp in the exact same space in such a way it looks decent and actually provides some weather protection?
Windows wouldn't be that hard to work out either, think like the bastard child of a racing window net, a roll-up projector screen, and the back window from an old Jeep ragtop. put a roller in the door with a bar at the top that snaps into a channel on the sides of the top. not ideal, not as good as glass, but it's better than nothing and doesn't require a lot of space to store it.
of course, I'm just a potential customer, an aspiring mechanical engineer thinking outside the box, an amateur car doodler, and a realist that knows that the weather isn't mid '70s and sunny every day of the year, what do I know?
and to anyone I offended, sorry, but FFR already has an open top potential track rat that can be built for under $15K. it's called the MK.4 Cobra
