I get all gooey looking at pictures of the 1937 Chevy Fangio replica that ran on the Peking to Paris Rally. I keep thinking building one on a more modern chassis, like an S-10 would be a fun beater for everyday use. No fancy mag wheels, no chrome plating,no metallic paint, just a good solid body on a light truck chassis. Anyone on here have something along a similar vein?
wheels777 has a '39 plymouth on an S10 chassis. it has a name, but i can't remember what it is.
Buddy put a 41 Plymouth on a 1st gen Dakota chassis.

The guy I bought my 1930 plymouth frame had a really nice 1939 Studebacker pick-up truck rolling on a full s10 frame. The only change he had to do was to move the engine back by a few inches and a narrow radiator. He kept everything else completely stock. It looked great, and he put over 10k miles on it last summer (used it as a DD in the summer). He says he's had no problem with it.

That's what I'd do ,too. Just make it dependable with a complete, but simple interior and drive it all 3 seasons. I'm getting tired of modern cars and all the electronic googas.
