My other problem is that he intrudes on people and you can tell its not scripted. If he did that to me I would be annoyed. He also just blatantly asks if they would take "X" amount of dollars for it, then acts like someone killed his puppy when they say its not for sale.

I called ages ago that Fast N Loud would go the way of American Chopper. I still love the show, but it's getting more and more corporate by the minute.

They'll have a few more seasons before it gets stale, though.

Wheeler Dealers has been awesome in that they still basically stick by their original concept and are free of any network TV shenanigans. In the end, it's still awesome to watch Edd wrench.

American Car Prospector is unwatchable.

Classic Car Rescue is heavily scripted and I want to strangle the Canadian guy when he says "Alfa Romero".

Now they're building a '71 Kingswood with a blower and side pipes... I think its cool... because station wagon.

I briefly tuned in to it today while channel surfing. I can't belive people like this show. I could stand it for about 5 minutes. The lead is a total douche.

I look at it like this:

Richard Rawlings is douchey but knows it and is more than likely playing that role.

Jesse James is douchey but doesn't know it and thinks he's the baddest thing since well, anything. (Extremely talented though, just ask him!)

Fast & Loud is automotive goofballs just having fun while it lasts. At least that's how I see it.

This. The other shows gloss over the wrenching in favor of the shenanigans, the money, the drama, or the marketing of some overpriced corporate sponsored aftermarket junk.

Even when Edd goes with an aftermarket part he doesn't even mention the name of the manufacturer.

The best part of wheeler dealers is that now I don't feel bad paying top dollar for a car that doesn't need work. They never make enough money to cover Edd's labor.

You guys mention "Wheeler Dealer" but since I don't have velocity I checked out their website, looks pretty good. The latest Fast N Loud show was great, not very GRM, but still its cool to see what they did to that big ole wagon.

The show last night felt like that was a build for that company and not the premise they showed.

I loved the wagon both in stock form and modified.

I wish someone would shave RRs head, so he would STOP running his fingers through his hair.

I love Wheeler and Dealers, it is my fav show. They do another show called Auto trader, but I haven't seen one recently. They need more shows like that on TV.

i've never heard of Edd Wrench, but you can bet that if he had a big enough name there would be aftermarket parts companies paying him to use their parts and say their name...

Since their show is on the BBC, which is taxpayer funded (not funded by commercials), they aren't allowed to do any commercial activities like take $$ for mentioning sponsor names or accepting free parts. It's the same reason that Top Gear and Fifth Gear can give cars bad reviews. No worry about angering current or potential sponsors.

On topic: I wanna have a business where I am as good at something as the Dragon Lady so I can treat my customers like E36 M3 but they still come back because I am awesome.

I like the show. It's entertaining. You have to remember its entertainment first.....reality???? Not really......fun to watch.

I met Lou at SEMA last year. Shook his hand in a lunch line getting some grub at the convention center. I let him know how awesome he was and how great it was to meet him. He does some internet show now. He seemed happy to meet a fan. Very cool guy and exactly the way he was on the show in real life. Loud, happy, and that laugh....

I met Lou at Carlisle last year. What you see on TV is him, laugh and all. Good guy.
