The 968 Turbo is typically a 2.5L SOHC Turbo, not the 3.0L DOHC.

I have a couple of friends building 3.0L SOHC Turbo motors, one is going in my old 951S.

Well, I gave up a 968 for a 944 S2, and I am still driving an S2, 17 years later.  But they are all nice cars, with a wonderful blend of timeless styling, comfort, practicality and great driving dynamics.

It's simple ..... I like them all.  However, I am partial to the early 944 NA...odd man out.  I've been bonding with bits and pieces of this one for about 20 years.  My 21 year old son just bought a low mileage 83.  For those who say "it's slow", I say, "hop in".  It's pretty light and very responsive.  Not many cars I've driven carve the roads like these...I put it up there with the Miata for fun factor.  And I like the box flare look.  From my POV, the early cars are a little easier to work on and tweak also.

I have thought hard about this... and I can't decide. They're all awesome.

I have had a '83 and a later turbo car, and I really liked both.

A turbo S with real Fuch's wheels.....  if I were going to spend my coin on one of these again.

For me it’s always been the 951.  I’ve had two and will buy another when I find the right deal.
