It's amazing how "relaxed" it sounds at 9000rpms!
People react like Wanderlei Silva just walked into their favorite rough, downtown bar. It's a Hemi.

Every time I watch that video, around :24-:33 I keep thinking "Yanno, I bet I can tune that out so it's not killing the drivetrain..."

That was filmed at the Musclecar Classic show in Minneapolis. I had my '61 Bonneville there, it took second in class.
A million years ago I watched a CP Mustang run at Nationals--pretty sure someone said it has an X-pipe setup. Either way, it sounded like pure sex.
For some reason race Toyota engines always seem to sound really good, rather it be a 4age or 1uz. The crispness is just on pop.Look up a itb formula Atlantic engine and see what I mean.

For me, the McLaren F1 cannot be beaten. Objectively, it's pretty generic for an 60° ITB V12, but that car is one of the biggest influences on my life, and I haven't even seen one in person (yet).

I love it when he blows the doors off the cabbie! Best car soundtrack EVAR!!!
Of those that I have heard live (i.e. not on YouTube, etc.), the Ferrari flat-12 (Testarossa) and Toyota 4AGE are my favorites. Based on YouTube clips, I would have to add Alfa V6 and Volvo 5-cyl turbo to the list.
