I am on norotors and have some lsx buying experience.
Is it an actual aluminum ls1? What trans does it have? That makes a big difference. Also the granny's kit is not highly regarded for the most part vs the ronin pedestal style kit.
10k seems to be toward the top end for a nice LS1 FC a
With a few upper outliers.
I think your best bet honestly would be to find a clean roller and do the swap. Stock and aftermarket FC parts don't go for a whole lot as a general rule.
kids with daddys money would love to spend 7k on a ls1 rx7, i would vote to get it cleaned up and sell it, if you can make your wife happy and still get a ls1 out of the deal i see no downside
That can't be legal out in CA, can it? I also vote for a cleaning and flip as is. I hate you a little for getting a running RX7 V8 for 2k.
I have a CLEAN shell that needs a motor and trans.....
As much as I LOVE my stock-ish TII, I'd probably vote for fix and flip.
It's automatic I think that lowers it's resale price.
The auto will hurt resale but if it's you get replacement panels and interior with decent paint I would think $7k is a resonable expectation. Especially with a real ls1 thats basically converted to ls6 specs.
got any spare rotary engine parts still?
