I know there are at least a couple people on here that have 500s. How many miles have you put on them and have you had any problems? I am seriously considering dumping the Civic if I can talk the local Fiat dealer into a stupid deal on a '12 500. Right now they have both the '12 and '13 at $14k so I am thinking I can talk them down some more.

My wife has owned her 500 convertible (automatic) since May of 2011. 28k+ miles on it right now with no big issues. Some interior trim on the convertible top came loose (fixed at the dealer) and that's about it. Regular dealer oil changes and fuel and not much else.

I was concerned that the weird folding rear glass window would give us issues, but not worries or leaks at all. My wife averages 35 mpg with mixed driving. I get 32 in stop and "gun it" traffic. My wife only runs premium in it, but I run mid grade when I drive it for any length of time and it runs fine with either. (Yes, she thinks it runs better with premium, I've tried to argue the point, ,but it's her car, so I don't. At least she's being conscience enough to try and take care of it).

I think it's plenty reliable and if you're at ALL nervous, Fiat was offering a lifetime extended warranty on them.

I don't know but SWMBO thinks waiting for the upcoming Ecoboost Fiesta makes more sense.

11,000 miles on the Abarth already, no issues. Not much else I can say, they seem like good little cars.

I've put 8200 miles on mine since July 31, '12. It still amuses me and is averaging 38MPG on this winter fuel and running the defrost nearly constantly. I've had no problems out of it whatsoever. I took it in for its first oil change and tire rotation (free at my dealer) and even that experience was good. I've been very happy with the decision to buy it, and wouldn't change a thing.
