Fiat 500

Has anyone drive a new 500 yet? Good or Bad? Opinions? I've yet to even see one in person but here they are in the delivery phase.

currently awaiting the dealers to start receiving them so I can go drive one. I expect them to be a blast to drive

I know someone who worked the product launch demonstration for Fiat dealers. SO he put a lot of time in them driving them aggressively. He had high praise. Said it is the Mini's equal at a several thousand dollar discount. Also said that the Abarth is not an if, but a when, and it has the Mini S in it's sights.

I'm waiting for the Abarth and then it's likely so long to my Subaru.

I wonder what the ride quality is like vs. the Mini. The one Mini I rode in as a passenger seemed like a good paint shaker.

500 also has a nicer interior, I think, but I didn't get the drive the one I was checking out (vacation in Europe a couple years ago, friend needed to stop in at a dealership).

Maybe I can afford an Abarth by the time my neon dies.

If you're in the Austin, TX area, they have the showroom open with one to test drive.

I might go look at it this weekend, but I am afraid I might come home with my wallet lighter.....

I used to have a Fiat 600, so it seems a natural. I was thinking about maybe waiting on the Abarth version, but haven't read much about the way they really drive.

I saw the first one around here at a Chrysler dealer last week. I don't know what trim level it is, but it had red calipers and alloy wheels. Looked pretty cool.
