I'm looking for a kit to stuff in a hulk of a Fiero beast. If all goes according to plan, this will be my Lemons car...but the only kit I've found online is $1800...and that just won't fly for this thing!
Any ideas?

Yeah yeah yeah, I know... I had a pro-built cage installed in my Spec Miata for $1,100. See where I'm coming at here?
Pre-fabbed you-weld kits for many cars are less than $500...I'm simply hoping that someone here knows where I could find one. I won't cheap out on safety...ferrcrisssakes... I went overboard & got a Hutchens Hybrid this year (the full Carbon Fiber...drooooool!).
If a Fiero cage is THAT expensive, I'll find a different donor car to build!
Just poking ya Johnny boy.
Have you called Jegs, Summit and Kirks?
Also, is there a guy who is doing cages locally who would do it for a bag of nickels?
They won't let me!
Nerf Bars are illegal.
My God, could you imagine the destruction we'd have if they allowed nerf bars? I'd sign up...and my wife would increase my insurance policy!
Can ya swing $410.93?
Jegs 944103K 8 point roll bar kit.

Add this kit:

for the front cage tubes. We used the same stuff for our LeMons car, it was .134 ERW tubing and is definitely legal.
Right on, that's what I'm looking for!
I'm going to check this donor out today if possible...who knows, perhaps I'll have one more reason for the Mrs to divorce me in the garage by this evening!
U need Doug Chase

Watch the ball joints in the front upper control arms, and the rear hub bearings (sealed unit). Weak points, especially the hub bearings in a V-6 car. I ran a I-4 in ITA, and you had to watch out for those.
I fyou haven't already pulled the trigger, I'll vouch for a Kirk Products prebent cage. It ran $850 ish delivered and fit really nicely in my Lemons car. It's even DOM so you can go SCCA or NASA racing we you're done.
I thought you had to carry a bit of speed to get a car to roll over. I wouldn't worry about that in a Fiero.
Cruel Pinch, cruel!
Actually, I bought my Lemons car...NOT a Fiero after all. I went German... Details coming in another thread!
