Both would be bought new? Can't really go wrong either way.

Seems like a no brainer, the fiesta will be significantly more comfortable and useful day-to-day. DD'ing a miata gets tiresome after a while, unless you're the type that describes an Exige as "plush"

Seems like apples and pears comparison which means it's a perfect question here. I would go Miata but I fear the novelty and size might wear thin after a few months of no room for the groceries.

If you have a 2nd car to actually store things in and get groceries then choose Miata.

I went from dd'ing a miata to a normal fiesta earlier this year. 17 years for the miata including winter.

Even though my fiesta is base, seems fair to include.

To me, kind of a toss up. The fiesta is quieter, but I don't find the ride to be that much better. And the top goes down on the miata.

I stopped as my miata is just worn out after 15 years and 205k miles. (Second one for those keeping score). It will have a thread in the project section soon.

Granted, my commute is mostly boring freeway. But the cars are pretty even.

FiST all day.
Granted, this is coming from someone who DD's a miata already, despite not quite fitting into a miata... in a part of the world known for frequent rainfall.

So, yeah, less compromises with the Fiesta.

Fiesta is an excellent car but he has a 2nd car so I don't see how it really competes with a RWD car.

I would almost want to wait for the Focus RS and new Miata, but who knows when that comes.

sell the GM, use snows on the ST in the winter, and at rallyx, and Miata when nice out
