Define "sucks" - my preferred CU for auto loans (Pentagon Federal CU) has something like a .5% rate increase for used cars over new ones. Just checked and they offer 1.99% for a 36-month used car loan.

I believe my last was 6%. That was their rate on cars older than 5 years I want to say. I have great credit, so maybe I need to look into other credit unions.

the 13mpg is where it sucks.

Not when you work 15 min from home and you paid 1/2 of retail.

Also State Farm's rate includes GAP insurance.

I've always used credit unions. Navy Fed has always pulled through with great rates that always beat whatever the dealer has to offer with the bank/CU they work with.

Took a loan out on my S2K just to have a bill in my wife's name being paid monthly. 3.99% for 48 months. I bought a new Honda a few years back and had 3.99% on a 60 month loan through HFS with a damn near perfect credit score. The bad part is it's a credit union that's limited to past and present service members or DoD employees.
