Find me a car with 3" diameter round fog lights

Old or new, doesn't matter. I need to find a car that has 3" diameter round fog lights. The lights need to be a "flat" fit (not angled or tapered to contour with bumper). Preferably plastic lens, but glass will do too.

Context: both my 09 wrx fogs are cracked. It's a widespread problem and they look like heat cracks to me, since I have plexi fog light covers over them, so it's not from rock contact, etc.

Although I'm gonna see if Subaru will warranty them, I somehow doubt it. New fogs are a couple hundred bucks...not worth it, especially if its' going to happen again.

Sooooo....just need to find some other car that has a similar size lens that I can "retrofit" onto my housings. I'd prefer a plastic lens for obvious reasons. Would be best if the car is somethign I can find at a junkyard, obviously.

Alternately, perhaps some cheap aftermarket fog lights with lenses that fit the same descripion....

IIRC a 94-98 mustang cobra is 3.5" Dont know if that would be close enough for you or not.

I am not near mine right now, I can try to measure in a week or two if you need.

Pretty sure my truck's are three-inch.

Why not make your own lens covers? How hard can it be to shape and cut some thin lexan?

I know that on the earlier WRX, the "round" foglights have a big rectangular backside that makes fitting a replacement a little trickier. You may want to do a little investigative disassembly first.

I think a late '80's/early 90's Fox body Mustang GT might be around that diameter. Some of the '90's (I think '90's, might be later) Rangers look like they use the same fogs as the Fox GT.

A Hella Optilux 1300 is a 3.5" housing and 3" lens. Don't know if they are still in production or not.

I'll bet most modern production cars like the Sequoia will have shaped lenses, even if they look flat. Plus you'll have to deal with plastic housings that have special mounting points. It would be a royal pain to adapt the (non flat) fogs from my M5 on to another car due to the way they're mounted in the bumper, for example.

I'd start with the "lighting" section at Walmart or NAPA. Probably cost less than junkyard parts anyhow.

97-04 Pontiac Grand Prix (GT and GTP) has a round foglight, perfectly flat, and plastic lense on the OEM units. Unfortunately they are exactly 4" in diameter. Of course, they also look tiny compared to the other ones mentioned, so you may want to re-measure yours.

The funny thing about the Pontiac Grand Am units is the bracket is all akward but the lamp mount to the bracket is pretty easy to make.
