Saw a guy in an older Corvette once (C3), pulled up at a red light beside a blonde girl in a sports car. Thought he'd impress her when the light changed so stood on it and started burning rubber. She just shot off into the distance without looking at him or squealing rubber, in dead silence.

She was driving the original Tesla sports car and it was pretty clear where the future lay - and it wasn't with the Neanderthal in the Vette.

Pointless but amusing.

I really enjoy the sidestep on the 1 2 shift in my Camaro, and the front tires breaking loose when the boost comes up in second in the SRT4 just makes me smile. Neither of those is a burnout, though.

The point of the bleach was to soften the tires, not facilitate the burnout.

Make about as much sense as smoking in general does.

.... are a Mercury Milan's secret calling in life"

Seriously one of the best rental cars I've ever had, the V6 and very unequal length axles, that thing would liquify the tire without even thinking about it.  And all the fine citizens of Houston kept wondering what rapscallion obscured behind that Mercury at the traffic light was doing obnoxious burnouts.

Does a pegleg burnout actually count as a burnout?

Better with trailers attached.

In reply to Duke :

Yes but that helps with the smokiness of the burnout, and more smoke equals more glorious a burnout.

You got it! AND pouring some in the gas tank yields even MORE smoke. Follow me for more car tips.
