Looking to buy 4 tires for my 2005 Yukon XL. On-line about $45 gets added to "refresh" the TPMS but mine is/are already defunct.

Should I expect them to say "we are required to fix your TPMS sensors if we mount these tires" or will they just listen to me and put 'me on?

Never had to have tired mounted with faulty TPMS before

"refresh" might also mean putting new seals in the valve stems.

If it is just resetting the TPMS module I'm sure you can ask them to waive the service and fee.

For someone like me who doesn't give a E36 M3 about TPMS (or fixing it) I don't want to pay for BS extra services.
