Car is a 2001 Miata SE, 6 speed trans and limited slip diff. I am going to change the trans and diff fluids before driving season. What would the masses recommend. I have seen Redline MTL and MT90 recommended, are these both good to use? I have also seen using Redline 75W90 in the diff. Is this the magic juice to use? Thanks for the advice, Marty

IIRC the recommendation is Redline MT90 for track use, MTL for civilian use. For a Miata trans, MTL is really magic juice.

Mtl is lighter than mt90.

It is, hence the recommendation of MT90 for track use.

Those are the magic juices we use.

I refuse to use any redline product after discovering that their 5w-30 had to be squeezed like frozen orange juice out of the jug when I rolled an ice racer one time and it needed to be topped up.Isn't one of the main advantages of synthetic cold flow?.

I just bought a case of Amsoil Dominator race oil for the engine and Amsoil MTG for the trans and will use any 'ol synthetic for the torsen diff in my track only Miata.
