Turner Thanks, the nose looks a bit Complecated But the rest Looks Doable,

Weary that looks 'Xactly like a Balsa ModelAirplane Fuselage, 'Xacctly, and here is the problem in a Car ,  You Can't Bend them but you can Twist them 45 degres.

I wish I had photos of the Shannon sports racer tub I did 25 years ago.I did have some honeycomb. It was a vertical spine down the middle, attached to the floor and bulkheads with separate 1x1x.060 angles riveted and glued to both faces. No bends. I re-used it when replacing almost everything else.

That is easily solvable with slot in hole construction with a few 45 bracing or bonded triangles at corners

I Have a Feeling (Force X Something I forgot) the Angles needed would Protrude Into the Cockpit Area, but if made with Strips that are an angle of 90 deg. then the Skin could be bonded to the Flats and make it a Monocoque tub, The 90 would also stregbthen each strip.

The Honycomb I grew up around was used for Flooring in a C-130 Hercules, You Could drive a Tank On it, Musta been the 'Good Stuff'

Is the honeycomb we're discussing specific to chassis construction or is the same as the "deformable structure" specified in some rules (e.g. F1) a different material?
