VW is considering selling the Caddy line in the US.

SCORE! They will be expensive, though. My girlfriends' parents had one in Germany, and I loved it. Would make a very nice vehicle to live in too.

I saw a bunch of the Fiat equivalents up on 95 north of Las Vegas. Forget what they are called but apparently they are going to be sold by Ram. The ones I saw were Fiat badged though, Chrysler tests a lot of cars on that road there are the new ugly jeep cherokees up there all the time for the past year all debadged.

Apparently you can get it with a diesel and a manual trans as well.

ah, here it is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_Ducato#Third_generation_.282006.E2.80.93present.29

I didn't know we had another Las Vegan on this board. I have also seen several pre-production Fiat-slers around town. Nice place for hot-weather testing.

If you did autocross like 3-4 years ago you may have met me but since I have been working midnight shifts for the past few years i've been like a vampire.

I've been thinking of getting a dash cam and recording my trips to work in case I catch anything interesting because I have seen some camouflaged cars out there.

So this won't be a Dodge Caravan with VW badges?

Btw, I had to tell our salesman that, he was dumbfounded!

They don't want that getting out. What would people think of a VW that started every morning.

I'd prefer one of the larger models, but it'd be a start.

It's amusing to me VW sells a van called the 'California' in the UK, but not here:

Being a fan of the Sprinter, I'd rather have the Crafter.

Fiat is bringing over their van for 2014. The Ram ProMaster:

There are a lot of companies that do weird naming things like that. Like I think the Alfa Romeo 75 had a trim called America that had the 3ltr V6 in Europe and I know the Moto Guzzi California was a bike that was not sold in the US for quite a while.

Agreed. The one I drove was getting 6L/100km (about 39mpg) at Autobahn speeds.

Man, that ProMaster is one ugly fan. Makes the NV2500 look stylish by comparison.

And a Sprinter down-right sporty!

...the ProMaster doesn't look quite as bad in the flesh... sorta... then again I pass a NV2500 every morning on my way to work and I'm always thankful I haven't eaten breakfast yet...
