I went to the annual "Bugs in a Hanger" car show this past Saturday. Its a small benefit show in New Smyrna beach, a little bit south of Daytona Beach. They specialize in VW, Audi, and Porsche and some Airplanes, and its at the airport. I only found out about it friday night and luckily, had sat off and no solid plans. I met a few of my friends there who were showing their 911's.
sadly, only one audi owner showed up, but the was a nice assortment of 356's, 911's, beetles, and vans, as well as a bunch of rare transporters and dune buggies.
Had a nice time despite the oppressive heat (north of 96 degrees) and it was over by 2pm. I did notice those who had cars with ac there, tended to bug out starting at noon. the people with the old no a/c cars, stayed longer, guess their used to the heat :)

It sure does, a later version that moved to two cowl-mounted .30cals and upgraded them to match four the wing-mounted .50's.

I believe that is a P-51A Mustang. Looks very similar to a P-40 from a front view. The A model used an Allison engine with an intake that looks like a P-40's top cowling. Makes sense they both used the same engine.

Is that grumman in Coast Guard livery? Sweet if it is. We stopped (not ME we, but us Coast Guard aviators) flying them in the early 80's.
Its a P-51A or an A-36. Can't tell without the wings. The giveaway is the canopy. P-40s can slide rearward.
The other one most likely is a Grumman Albatross SA-16.

With closer inspection, I correct myself and agree (with you) that it's likely a P51A; didn't notice how the canopy opened.
A quick image search of the Apache shows mg's mounted on both sides of the engine; integrated into the cowling. It doesn't look like there is any provision for armament in that pic, but it's hard to tell considering the plane's current state.
