Re the budget; for the whole IMCA Sport Compact car and tow vehicle purchase has gone down given the current economy. I currently have 6k available. An IMCA SC is probably going to run about 2k to 2500, those cars are all over the map price-wise. Possibly less but I really won’t know that until I actually negotiate for one I want and can go get. I also want to have a 500 – 1k “cushion” for when stuff happens.
That leaves me with 2500 to 3k for the tow vehicle. However, I also have my Ranger (in very good condition) available for a trade. In my search I have seen more ads with “possible trade” than I thought would be there. Where I am I could probably get 3k to 3500 for the Ranger.
