A friend of mine is trying to make a deal for an early KVA Ford GT40 replica (302 V8). He is an autocrosser, among other things, and would like to run it if possible. The original Ford GT40 is "ineligible" in SCCA Stock so I presume this is too. For the next step up categories it looks like there is some sort of formula that determines a car's class. Is that correct or . . . ? The same question applies to NASA autocross. Thank you
E Mod. Allows for kit cars and larger displacement. (Asked a similar question a few months ago for a P car kit)
would it fall under one of the CAM classes as well?

Don't CAM classes have to be an actual production car?

CAM Eligible Vehicles • Must be either a domestic automobile or truck (pick-up or SUV) of front-engine, rear-wheel-drive (FE/RWD) configuration (no electric-powered vehicles). • Must be licensed and insured, as well as fully “street legal” (working lights, etc.).
The KVA GT40s were made in Britain from what I can find and they are rear engine.
Once again, EMod showing us how it's the coolest class in SCCA

Given the allowable creativity in Mod, it actually seems like the best fit class for the GRM challenge. Behind that P. Both of them can be started with a pretty poor condition car, and then built up around it. And Mod kind of allows you to build a mostly tube framed car and keep enough of the original body to meet the challenge rules.
At least that is where my day dreaming has gotten me to.
