This one isn't on every corner

A little pricey even as rare as it is

Yeh, I'd have to agree. With only 2 built, no racing history and not being well known outside of hardcore FoMoCo fans, I don't see the value increasing substantially.

That's a fairly well known car.

Looks as if a Torino had its way with a 240Z.

Ford's answer to the Superbird/Daytona twins.. i think the Mercury version was the Cyclone??

but NASCAR kinda put the kebosh on those kinds of cars due to them not really looking like what most people were willing to buy at the time. a lot of the winged Mopars sat on dealer lots for a long time before getting sold- i've read stories about how the dealers took off the Superbird/Daytona parts and replaced them with regular parts just to get them off the lot and off the books..

In reply to Woody: No disrespect Woody, but fairly well known in comparison to what, and by whom? Maybe I'm showing my (lack of) age here, but I'm 40, and the only person that I know that has a clue what that is. (Excluding people on internet forums, and people that I have traded Ford parts with). BTW, I'm pretty sure that all the people I've traded Ford parts with were significantly older than me.

No doubt thats a genuinely valuable collecter car, I just can't see its value climbing much higher, mostly because its on so few collectirs radar.

OTOH, I could be completely wrong, and that could be the next big thing. It took me a long time to catch onto the internet after all.....

In reply to HappyAndy:

As I will be mingling with the target audience for something like this all next week, I can tell you that you're wrong. Granted, eBay is not the place to sell something like this. RM, Christie, Mecum, Barrett Jackson, etc would all be better. Mainly due to the target crowd being there. Someone will buy it because they know of them, understand the rarity, or are just checking off rare fords from a list. This car needs a Marti Report if it wants to bring this kind of money though.

At least that actually is the boss429 engine, and not the normal 385 series 429 the retards think is the boss engine.
