On light pickups, for a long time now.
Most 4.8 4wds had a neat little electric vacuum pump that stuck right on the booster's inlet (well, technically outlet, the inlet is on the firewall side) that looked extremely swappable. I think they figured they'd spend a lot of their lifetime at WOT or near it.
I assume the DI engines are running so close to atmospheric manifold pressure all the time that they just put a dedicated vacuum pump on the engine. Right where the power steering pump used to go
Which, come to think of it, also means no Hydroboost, since there's no hydraulic power steering...

Ah, that makes sense. Do the diesels still have it, or did they go electric too?
I got the power steering pump, it's bracket, an AC delete pulley, the crank pulley, water pump with it's fan and pulley, the alternator bracket, all the bolts except the two studs that go into the heads plus 8 hood spring bolts.
I paid a total of $76.95 including $10 in cores.
That's a good day in the junkyard and I didn't lose GRM points by paying $200 for simple adapters.

It's on a need to know basis.

I came in expecting a Dr. Who confession:
now, I'm leaving dissappointed.
I came to warn about Internet searches and "BBC."
You could use an electric waterpump, electric power steering pump, and an electric alternator, then you don't need any belts. ;)
Ok, so the electric alternator was a joke..but you could have then just a single belt, or better yet, put coils around the crank damper to make an alternator
directly off the crank.
New challenge idea
BBC in Yaris
I guess it could be a GRM challenge too.
