Well said,Latifi went back to school I assume to take over the family biz.
Lance could follow him for sure.
Agree with the rest,I think Zhou should stick around as he has been matching or beating the guy that could match Lewis occasionally.
The Hulk has been impressive but has had lots of chances to be a front runner....

Perez had 1 win and 10 total podiums in 10 F1 seasons before he joined RedBull. In his 3 years with RedBull he's accumulated 5 wins and 24 podiums. It would be hard to argue that his move to RedBull was a bad career move (even if you ignore that there were no other seats available to him) and I think any diver who wants to win some hardware and see how they stack up against the best would jump at the opportunity.
If you want to win a championship it's a bad move. At this level everyone believes that with the right car they can be champion.............the problem is the right car for Max may well not be the right car for you.
Here is a nasty conspiracy for Checo- with the cost cap, perhaps RBR puts more into Max's car that we don't see vs Sergio.
In reply to alfadriver :
But Red Bull have always had a stronger #1 than #2, even before the cost cap. It seems they've always been willing to bias the car towards their #1 driver. And Max is really fast, especially when he's leading. It would be really difficult to be his teammate on any team, never mind RB.

I'm truly amazed that this was uttered by you.....g'night

I still have concerns about his ability to pass another driver in a fast car :) But he's got the raw speed, that can't be denied.
Checo needs to step up and make sure Max secures the WCC solo. His 107 point lead over Mercedes is impressive but it could evaporate fast.

He 100% treats Lewis different on track then he does with the younger guys he's raced with.
Its not a merc thing as he's gone wheel to wheel with Russel just fine.
Hopefully the other teams catch up sooner then later, the racing for 2nd and back has been pretty good this yr :)
I think as the rules package matures we'll see even more cars moving forward on Max, not just the MacLarens, Ferraris and Mercs.
I don't know about Aston, they clearly had a good start but simply have not kept up as others have improved over the season.
No question Lance should ease off into the Valkyrie program and let someone else have a go with the Aston.
FP1 with 26 minutes left
Hamilton P1 a tenth ahead of Verstappen, both on the hard tire. Either the RB is sandbagging or that new floor for the Mercedes is pretty good. Race Quali at 4:55 EST
Now Lando fastest on the Medium tire, he was P3 behind Lewis and Max.
Albon on the soft tire goes to the top of the timesheet, 1:36.535
Max rips off a 1:35.912 on the soft tire, back at the top, Tsunoda is 4th in the Alpha Tauri..
Hamilton up to P3 on the softs, announcers speculating on whether he was balked by traffic or sandbagging or both... Leclerc is P2
Track limits and a first corner lockup cost Max the pole.. Top ten for Sunday
Leaderboard:
- Leclerc, Ferrari
- Norris, McLaren
- Hamilton, Mercedes
- Sainz, Ferrari
- Russell, Mercedes
- Verstappen, Red Bull
- Gasly, Alpine
- Ocon, Alpine
- Perez, Red Bull
- Piastri, McLaren

Looks to be an entertaining race.
The track evolution in quali 1 was nuts. That was a good session. Max was legitimately hurling it around, and wasn't very far ahead with his track limits lap.
The race pace of Merc, RB, Ferrari and McLaren will be fascinating.

Got some time in the pit lane to watch tire change practice sessions. Living the new liveries. Today I'll be the goofy tall guy under the Rolex Bridge in 16 outside.
I'm surprised Russell didn't get his last lap deleted

Waiting for Verstappen to glide past Norris.........and just as I'm typing this he does.
Please please can we have someone else win.........no ill will towards him but it's become utterly predictable.
Kinda close. At least Hamilton was closing at the end. Just too little, too late.
I was really rooting for Hamilton there at the end! RB left the door open for the other teams, but nobody could capitalize. Heartbreak for Piastri and Alonso both. Danny Ric looked better than yesterday. Perez looks so out of his league.
So, then... Max's brake problems, and relative lack of pace. A track or day specific problem, or a result of him having to push harder to stay ahead of the next three teams?
The new Merc floor seems to be magic for Lewis, but may have hurt George. Are we going to have a Max/Checo style conversation there? (I don't think so.)
It's almost starting to suggest that there is a hint of a possibility, as remote as it may be, that somebody might pass Max on track, on equal tires, this year. Maybe. Hopefully.
Alonso took off his new floor and raced much better, but didn't get the result due to damage. Too bad.
In reply to Streetwiseguy :
If RBR has a real braking problem- Mexico should really emphasize it. But I think it's more likely they miscalculated how much brake cooling they needed today. It would be nice if it opened up opportunity for other teams in Mexico, though.
