Awfully bold of Ferrari to cover up LeClerc's car, who do they think wants to see that turd? Should be interesting watching Lewis come back through the field

Here's the question- Lewis has to serve that within 2 laps of the restart- how much of a gap can he get? Seems that he'll be in dead last- or head of Giovonnazi.
Well, it's what everyone wants to see. What a frustrating way to have a race change up, though. The Alfa team had time to realize they shouldn't pit, but Mercedes didn't have much warning at all to wave off their driver. That's probably why it took longer to come up with the Mercedes penalty.
I wish we could see the double-stacked McLaren stop - 2.6 seconds for each car. Beautiful.

And it sounds like Lando isn't going to get an extra "going too slow" penalty- good for them!!!!
That's not a good result for Bottas - his teammate kinda proved that yes, the Mercedes can pass cars.
I didn't want that race to end, Gasly vs Sainz was not done.
Sainz should have been putting that pressure on him with 5 laps to go, not on the last lap.
Hopefully Netflix didn't waste too much time following Ferrari this weekend.

Yea, I think McLaren should have told him to use the power to get closer early- it would have been fine to spend a few laps within 1 sec to recharge. But, still, a great race for McLaren!
Man, for the crowd to be at this race- for Alpha Tauri to win, the only other real Italian team won the race over a terrible Ferrari.
And it's been a LONG time since we've heard this on the podium first.

Does he want to? I'd hold onto his current seat and then try to get out of the RedBull program ASAP for something else. With Ocon's performance this year it makes you wonder if Renault/Alpine start looking for another French driver to take his place.

Zero. The AT seems to be a lot easier to drive- both to actually drive and the team to drive for. I would think twice if I were Pierre.

Agreed. That second Red Bull is cursed. Do as Sainz & Ricciardo have, breakout of the Red Bull program!
Just listened to Norris' interview and had a thought about the red flag gift stroll got, they should change the rule that if you change tires then it has to be the same compound for a dry race. Then if you still need to use two different ones you'd have to come back in. Exception would be for going to rains or intermediates.

It says a lot about Horner's management of his drivers.
I feel like the rules around the red flag are sort of legacy rules that come from a different time period but haven't been reviewed as it so rarely happens. It seems crazy to let them change tires/compounds and fix the cars when you see what other series do but at the same time the rules aren't unique to one team. At least in this case it worked out best for the team that was taking a gamble on a different strategy by pitting earlier before this all went down.
It is kind of funny how Ferrari managed to screw over Lewis in this race. If the Haas hadn't blown up Hamilton would've lapped the field (maybe, but you get the point). If Charles hadn't have brought out the second safety car/red flag the 10 second stop/go penalty to Lewis wouldn't have had such an affect on him. By the time the penalty was actually given to Lewis he would have had 10 + laps under green driving away from a bunch of slow cars that shouldn't have been between him and the actual cars that could chase him, add 2 to 3 more laps before he serves the penalty and he would come out mid field rather than 10+ seconds off the back of last place. Granted there would have been less laps left to make up for the penalty but I think he would've been closer to the lead at the end.
Fun times (unless you were wearing red).

Horner seems to me like a total snake....at least Marko will tell you to your face that you're rubbish, and he's clearly not the problem since he is in charge of the AT drivers too.
Horner, otoh, will tell you that everything is fine one day and fire you the next.
