Oh now you all agree that Albon doesn't deserve that RB?!?
Double points for Alfa and another podium for Danny Ric!

Lewis made his own luck today. Manage tires, go like hell when required, take advantage of circumstances.
Why on earth didn't Seb pit under the caution. He was in for a top five! Then, the Seb luck hits him right in the nuts again.
Alex is a super nice guy who is very likely to be kicking his lunchbox down the street soon.
I thought Kvyat had a very nice day all along, and had a real shot at a podium.
Perez got screwed when only part of the midfield pitted. Good day, could have been better.
Felt bad for Max.
Given Max's last 4 team mates, I honestly don't think the problem is Albon. He'll be blamed, just like Kyvat, Gasley, and Ricciardo that they suck. Ricciardo was at least quick, but you could see the writing on the wall when he started to really fall behind his young teammate.
Red Bull's problem is that they make a car for Max, and nobody else. They will never win a constructors anymore, and Max may suffer because the lack of speedy teammate.
I wonder how much your mental state affects laptime in Formula 1? I mean, we see great drivers outperformed by newcomers to the team or formerly outstanding drivers lose something when paired up with strong teammates and I wonder what happens.

Albon is the one who's making the case to keep his seat or not, unfortunately. I like the guy but he's the number 2 driver in a team that has always had a clear number 1.
Anybody notice that it's okay for RB to start slagging the power plants again now that Honda has given their notice?

Because then Charles would have been 6th!

His restart at the end was terrific, they replayed it on Sky with him after the race and it was very impressive. Drove by Albon, Perez and Charles in half a lap to move up to fourth. Redbull has some terrific drivers, too bad their top team just tears them apart.

Now I really hope Honda just hands RB the info. Go for it. Then you are complaining about yourself.
There was a pretty big chunk of Ferrari stuck in the bottom of Valteris car. Someone brighter than me can repost the Merc tweet.
Best comment, "Just adding Ferrari parts makes your car slower."
Lewis is making noise about maybe not being in F1 next year, I think he's making a huge mistake. If he's trying to get more money and is pretending he's not that interested then it could backfire when 18 other drivers are calling Toto about getting that seat. With Lewis out, aren't there at least 3 or 4 other drivers capable of taking Mercedes to another Championship next year?

I wouldn't be surprised if he just wants to do something else. It seems to me that 2020 has really made him th8nk about what's important to him. It might not be f1.
He's also said that they're not going to talk about it until after the championships are sorted out, and both he and Toto seem to think it's just a formality. No way he'd just walk and not give the team a chance to sign someone.
Streetwiseguy said:No way on earth Lewis doesn't drive a Merc next year, if he's not dead.
maybe that is why he will retire (someday) , he has not been hurt in a crash , just pasted the record that Shuemaker had and really does not have to prove anything ,
Just sayin.......
In reply to Streetwiseguy :
Yeah next season he could get 8 and 100+ wins.
Funny enough if Alonso stays at it another season after Kimi he'll pick up the race starts record.
I don't think Lewis going anywhere, I am just disappointed with the game playing. He's the highest paid British sports figure and is worth a reported 285 million ($285,000,000) so he gets no sympathy from me if there is a driver salary cap and all this "maybe I'll leave" stuff is just a ploy to get a few more millions.
In reply to loosecannon :
Given that one of his team sponsors (Ineos) is doing the opposite of what some of the things he wants to do- I'd say that he's trying to get more money from them. The dollars that Mercedes, Petronas, and Ineos have, I have no problem with him milking them for everything he can get.
Or it was just stream of consciousness rambling after a fairly busy weekend. Usually he's pretty considered in what he says though. Toto's quoted reaction was pretty amusing.
Here's the piece of Ferrari that finished in third place after hitching a ride from Mercedes. That is pretty significant!
Something I haven't seen mentioned in the celebrations of the 7th Mercedes title - as of this past race, the driver's champion will be a Mercedes driver as Max cannot mathematically make it happen. So that's not just 7 constructor's championships, it's going to be 7 double championships on the trot.

Two quotes I saw:. Ferrari on the podium, and Adding Ferrari parts makes a car slower.
I wonder if both Toto and Lewis are feeling out options with the challenge to win essentially gone.
I get the sense they would both like a new hurdle, perhaps something completely different to partner up on and attack.
Congrats to the mighty MB F1 team and the best F1 driver of all time on his way to his next WDC. They made it through hard work and some luck.
I don't think Hamilton will quit soon. At least not until he gets through next season. It is kind of a no brainer he will likely win next season. He is just giving a more Kimi answer this time is all.
Albon just may be a key to RedBull getting themselves out of the dark stinky dead end alley that Max's car designing feedback has led them down.
