i recently replaced the motor in my 240sx after it sat for almost a year. after evrything , the fuel pump was bad so i bought a walbro one , when i pulled the tank and drained all the bad gas i noticed the tank was all rusty inside and i know there's places that clean and recoat , but for the price i might just get a fuel cell , but of course i want a cheap one. can anyone recomend a cell that uses an intank settup or a way to clean and reuse the rusty tank myself?

Eastwood makes a kit to clean and plastic coat the inside of a gas tank. It worked as advertised, however after doing it once I don't think I would ever do it again. It is a lot of back breaking work with lots of very nasty chemicals. I would locate a used non rusty one, I found a nice one for my Cressida on that online junkyard listing for $35 already pulled and was nice and fresh inside.
vinegar will completely remove all the rust.
Throw a length of chain in there and shake it up. Rinse wth water, dry and reinstall.

the cleaning and replacing bit i'm ok with , it's durability , simplicity ,and upgradability im worried about, and i will eventually be putting a 2 liter turbo inline six i have laying around (RB20) , i don't want to have to replace the pump or gas tank again then if clean and put it back in, any cheap places to get a fuel cell and tips on how to install it? most cells use external pump settups too right? could i make an internal pump work on the outside without it getting hot a dying or put it inside using the oem sending unit?
could always put the stock fuel pump into a smaller "slosh tank"
