This was an awesome series. Showing there is a class for bigger than a shifter kart, not quite a full size car option.
This was one of my favorite rebuild and race series of the magazine.
The nice thing is that older LeGrands are still quite competitive in SCCA Solo Bowel Movement class.
What was the LeGrands competition?
Other LeGrands, and cars based on LeGrands. An AMAC or a Cheetah can do well also…
Dan Cyr has a BMod formula (open wheel) car that's very fast--and built to the current BMod rules. He won Nats in 2013, IIRC.

In other words, the cars that you'll see being dragged back out for SCCA's SR2, now that the Stohrs have been put in SR1.
For autocross, the smaller flat-bottomed cars are most likely a better choice than the tunnel cars like the Stohr / West, etc.
BM allows 1300cc @ 1300#. So I'm going to bring my P2 (SR2/SR1 ended up as Prototype 2 and 1 after the dust settled) Out to a DC Region or AI solo event at some point this season. I predict stupid fun.
