I stumbled across a lm Corvair that appears to have been sitting for a while, and even has a tarp that looks to have fallen apart off of it. The second car is hard to see in the picture because it was far back off the road and taken with a cell phone, but its a fd RX7 sitting in amongst some weeds. There is also an older truck, but I honestly don't know much about them so couldn't say what it is.
Some of my cars look a abandoned.
That Corvair is so cool it almost looks staged.
FD is intriguing. (also one of the best looking cars -ever)....
Geez. All I find are the ones either on the side or in the turning lane broke down around here. Like yesterday, there was a nice looked fairly rust free 2dr early to mid 90's Lumina in the turn lane broken down. I drove past it like 4 times to figure out why it was there.... Without getting out to look at it, the front subframe bolts in the back have broke or dissappeared and the rack is the only thing keeping the subframe from touching the ground.
tarp fallen off? staged?
naw boy, that theres called bait
Put some dollars in your pocket and go knock on some doors!
The VERY rusty truck in the pix is an early '50s Chevy.

Damn... that Corvair looks perfect for a "Barn Find" class. Want.

Yeah, it really does. But i'd imagine it's hard to stage that much dust without an autobody shop around it.
RX7 is begging for an LS swap... Just sayin...
I had to do a double take when I saw the rx7. It was the last car I'd expect to see in some farmers woods. I absolutely love them.
Also I've know about the Corvair for 2 years and just never gotten a picture until yesterday, and I can assure you it hasn't moved an inch since I first saw it.

Especially next to a couple of giant MERICA trucks.
Based on where that badge is on the side of the Corvair, that looks to be a Corsa model. Go knock on that door!
Tell me how much they want for that FD. I'm heading north tomorrow evening, anyhow.
I wish I could find an FD just "sitting around" like that, I bet you could offer that guy scrap price to $500 and he'd let you take it.
My luck would be that the guy would be like, "I'm planning on fixing it up" or "Its my Sons/Brothers/Friends and I don't think they want to sell it"
That's usually the runaround I get when I find an abandoned car that I've seen sitting around for a year.
if a car has a late model truck parked next to it and a kid's slide about 20 feet from it- and the grass is neatly mowed- i don't think the word "abandoned" really fits..
"neglected" or "i'm gonna fix it up someday" would fit better..
I want the FD. Add V8, stir and pore out liberal amounts of fun!
