From seeing the rear wing...

Well, it's like the Celica "Action Package" all over again!
Although at least they got the side skirts right on this car... The Celica's skirts made me want to claw my eyes out.
I agree that the Cobalt's wing looks like a parody, but I seem to recall reading that it provides great downforce at triple-digit speeds. Chevrolet worked hard on the Cobalt SS. If it's good enough for Mr. Heinricy, it's good enough for me. (Even if I would probably arrange things so I could take it off 98% of the time.)
I like BIG WINGS and I can not lie
You other brothers can't deny
That when a car rolls in with an itty bitty waist
And a BIG WING in your face
You get sprung, wanna pull out your tough
'Cause you notice that WING was stuffed
Deep in the airfoil it's wearing
I'm hooked and I can't stop staring
Oh WING-O, I wanna get with you
And take your picture
My homeboys tried to warn me
But that WING you got makes me so horny
Damn that's ugly...
Not only is it huge, but it just looks too chunky. Personally, I thought the thing looked fine without a wing.
Mrs. Rufledt and I took one for a test drive the other day, she loved it to death. I thought it was awesome, too, but i'm surprized it didn't feel as sharp as my rx8 r3. It was way more comfortable (in the front, anyway) but a little bit spongier than i'm used to. It handle decreasing radius on-ramps just fine, though.

ROFLMFAO!!
Not sure where that abomination came from. There is a body kit that is available from Scion dealers that IMHO is much, much better looking.
The lip spoiler is not a bad look, but that wing is just too much. Is it even necessary? I didn't get much about 70 in my test drive (dang massachusetts traffic) but I never thought it was too loose in the back.

The R3 package especially, is a brilliant car. Loved the one I drove, sans it feeling like it was down on power.

I wouldn't call those wings useful, nor the former next-gen cavalier a good car.....
Oh wait, I used to own the reason you're claiming the cobalt ss/sc was good....not bad for a saturn chassis and engine eh?

The wing was too flimsy to have provided much more than drag.....it did work, but the decklid low rise on the redline provided about the same.....
In reply to yamaha:
Ion Redline?
[edit]nevermind[/edit}
I wish the Ion's replacement came in a Redline trim. I'd love for my Astra to have more power.
